Who we are The Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate Conception is a religious congregation and an institute of Pontifical Right  founded in 1847, in Glasgow, by Sr Adelaide Vaast and Sr Veronica Cordier. Both came from the Franciscan monastery of Our Lady of Angels Tourcoing. Sr Vaast contracted cholera and left Sr Veronica as the sole foundress of the congregation.  The congregation was established in Glasgow as an apostolic institute and follows the Rule and Life of the brothers and sisters of the Third Order Regular of St. Francis. As sisters in the Franciscan Penitential tradition, we commit ourselves to live out Our profession of Chastity, Poverty and Obedience in community, ever striving for a fuller expression of our baptismal call to conversion.  The Kenyan mission The Kenyan mission was realized in the year 1990, at the invitation of Rt Rev Raphael Ndingi who was by then the Bishop of the Catholic diocese of Nakuru.  Mother of Apostles Seminary  Mother of Apostles Seminary is a minor seminary owned by the Catholic diocese of Eldoret. The seminary molds the young boys in the Catholic faith and empowers them through holistic education to be responsible members in the society.  Also, they are involved in co-curricular activities to enable them realize the different giftedness. Recently, they have emerged victorious in musical festivals and received awards up to the national level.  Let us join hands in building God's kingdom.
